Valentine's Haiku for Second Graders

I am subbing today for a lively group of kids who just happen to be studying poems, rhyming and haiku. I wrote this on the board for them:

It's Valentine's Day!

Cards, candy, lots of good treats.

I'm glad to be here.

And I am!
