1960

Years with trauma,
the number itself puts on
heavy cloak of significiance, 
as if remaining days
were either pre- or post-event.
Fifty-three years ago today, 
a baby died before he had a chance 
to live but hours outside hospital
walls. If you think that's much
too long to grieve, his life
too brief to bother with
remembering, you've never
lost a child.
