In the Library

Surrounded by
a billion words,
collective wisdom
of the ages
neatly standing
at attention on
the shelves, the soberness
of vast, accumulated knowledge
weighs upon
my eyelids heavily.
If only I  could drift
off for a moment,
I might dream
of answers to
the questions, never
spoken, in my heart.
