Sumer is icumen in - I thought it meant
that summer's coming but instead
it means it's here right now. It's not
but will be soon! The kids at school
can smell it, taste the freedom that is just
around the corner, end of May.
Sleeping late, with no more uniforms to wear.
Forget about June Twenty-first, the solstice
when the day is long, my sumer starts
the end of May when school's officially out.
