Space Crazy

Twilight Zone in black and white,
an astronaut returns home. Or did he?
Slight changes, so subtle it takes time
to notice. To be sure something is off.
Maybe he's just tired from space, but no.
The fence is different. It is. His wife, too.
Even the President.
He would've remembered who had won unless
he's gone space crazy.
Coming home from a trip to a parallel universe
it's almost like that here.
Bleach stain on my favorite blue table cloth.
Photograph off the wall, the frame in pieces. Why?
DVD cords connected but in the wrong place.
Cat closed up in my office.
Is this even my house?
Are these people even my family? Really?
We don't have a cat.
I would have remembered that.
