my Thanksgiving offering at the family do next week
and everywhere I go there are carols playing.
Stores pull out trees and tinsel before
Halloween now, hoping we'll stumble into
buying mode while humming FaLaLaLa.
I see things everywhere I'd love to buy for you
or for her or him but can't afford it. Will you be
just as happy if I make you something, give a
piece of my heart instead of a shiny box filled
with something that may or may not fit?
