A Town That Doesn't Know Me

It feels like Saturday today, because
I got away from town and family,
from stress and obligation, but
who said Saturday's the only time
for rest and relaxation? A little
room to stretch, some oxygen to
breathe that isn't heavy with toxicity,
the smiles of strangers as I pass
by on a sidewalk in a town that
doesn't know my name.
