Smile

Smile, not just a simple platitude,
adjustment to one's attitude,
perspicacious plan to put a
positive and perky spin on life,
but it still works. Lifting mood inside,
enough (sometimes) to see
the gladness mirrored on another's
face, a smile is (literally) heady stuff.
Analyzed, though different from
a grin (the smile, polite; the grin,
an overflow of joy within) a guileless
smile can make more difference
than we often realize.
