Ummmm

Brain-fatigued as I am after dealing with
middle schoolers and high schoolers today,
I tried to work in "kumquat" and finally gave up.

Mind's numb.
Feeling dumb,
Thoughts succomb.
Feeling bummed.
Heartstrings strummed.
Wanting somewhat
to become what
I can't be right now;
and don't see how
I ever will.
Plumb silly.

Really.
