Good food, close friends,good booze, year's end,
holidays and special plans,
gathering of the family clan.
Carols ring through every store,
closets filled with treasure hordes.
Candles lit on Christmas eve,
sacred time if you believe
that God himself came down to earth,
hard heart of man in hopes to stir.
